Di natura completamente diversa dai Ciclopi Uranidi sono i Ciclopi Omerici. A differenza dei figli di Urano, vivono dediti alla pastorizia e isolati l'uno dall'altro nelle caverne dell'Etna. Il rappresentante più famoso è Polifemo, figlio di Poseidone. Di lui ne abbiamo parlato qualche mese fa, nella leggenda di Aci e Galatea. Il "grande" Polifemo ha vinto il premio Oscar come miglior attore non protagonista per il film "Odissea". Il film è composto da un cast d'eccezione: il celeberrimo Ulisse, la bellissima Penelope, il giovanissimo Telemaco ed i Proci (con la P). La Regia è di Omero, Oscar-winning blockbusters to the "Iliad," a film that tells of a war and managed to get the statuette for best screenplay, best soundtrack and best foreign film ;-)
